OPENING CEREMONIES

 

1.              CALL MEETING TO ORDER

 

Mayor Bergman called the November 1, 2007 Special City Council to order at 6:11 p.m. at the La Habra Heights Community Center, 1245 Hacienda Road, La Habra Heights, California.

 

2.              ROLL CALL

 

Present: Mayor Brian Bergman, Mayor Pro Tem Stan Carroll, and Council Members Layne Baroldi, Tela Millsap and Howard Vipperman.

Also Present: City Attorney Sandra Levin.

 

3.              FLAG SALUTE

 

Stan Carroll led the flag salute.

 

PUBLIC COMMENT

 

            There was no Public Comment.

 

            Mayor Bergman adjourned to Closed Session at 6:12 p.m.

4.              PUBLIC EMPLOYEE APPOINTMENT

Title: Interim City Manager

 

5.              CONFERENCE WITH LABOR NEGOTIATOR

Govt. Code 54957.6

City Negotiator: Sandra Levin, City Attorney

Unrepresented employee: Interim City Manager

 

Mayor Bergman reconvened the meeting at 7:22 p.m. and stated that they have a new Interim City Manager, Shauna Clark. He stated that she has 30 years experience in government. She managed San Bernardino for 7 years and will start here next Wednesday.

 

Mayor Bergman asked City Attorney Levin if she had anything to report.

 

City Attorney Levin stated that she had nothing further to report.

 

ADJOURNMENT

 

Mayor Bergman Adjourned the November 1, 2007 Special City Council Meeting at 7:23.
