The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office issued a Press Release regarding the arrest of 4 Irwindale Officials for trips to New York including stage shows, expensive meals and alcohol using public monies.
The arrests were the result of a 3 year investigation interviewing witnesses and reviewing documents.
A San Gabriel Valley News story on the wrongdoing sparked the DA investigation.

One of the issues in the 2009 La Habra Heights County Water District Election was Board members wining and dining at public expense, staying at expensive hotels close to home, and spouse participation.
Board policies strictly prohibited imbibing alcohol at District expense and charging spousal expenses to the District.
