OPENING CEREMONIES:
1. CALL MEETING TO ORDER
Chairman Bruce Douglas called a meeting of the La Habra Heights Planning Commission to order at 7:07 p.m. at the Community Center, 1245 N. Hacienda Road, La Habra Heights,
California.
2. ROLL CALL
Those present: Chairman Bruce Douglas, Vice-Chairman Ginger Skinner, Commissioners
Brian Bergman, Stephen Blagden and Robert Wolfe. Also present Director of Planning Sheryl Brady, Planning Technician Barbara Doppieri, and City Attorney Ken Rozell.

Chuck Millsap led the flag salute.

John Beau, 2278 Casalero – spoke regarding Circulation 4-2, 4-8; stated Mr. BlagdenÕs
proposed policies are too specific; ERME 3-8.
Katie Martin, 557 Reposado – spoke regarding ERME 3-2 asked what studies have been done regarding rare and sensitive animals.
Norman Zezula, 2272 Canonita – spoke regarding ERME 3-6. The scenic amenities of La Habra Heights add to the surrounding communities.
Vice-Chairman Skinner asked to strike bullet 5 on Page 1-1.
ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC NOT ON THE AGENDA
Cecelia Borrowe, 540 Reposado – praised the Commission for their efforts; presented a letter to the Commission with signatures of appreciation.
Elizabeth Karmen, 1000 Encanada - thanked the Commission for their efforts.
Bob Karmen, 1000 Encanada – spoke regarding what he thought a General Plan should be.
Norman Zezula, 2272 Canonita – gave his opinion of the Institutional Use Overlay Zone.
ITEMS FROM STAFF
Mrs. Brady asked the Commission to save their staff reports from this meeting. On February 6, 2003 they will continue with the Land Use Element Text. She stated that at the meeting of February 6, 2003 she would provide another schedule of dates for future meetings.
ADJOURNMENT
Commissioner Blagden moved to adjourn the meeting at 10:35 p.m. to the special meeting of February 3, 2003. Seconded by Vice-Chairman Skinner and approved as follows:
